The emphasis of this course is on the nature of the changing labor market and the impact on personal, social, economic, career, and educational aspects of individuals and society. The use of occupational and educational information systems and resources to assist with career decisions are examined. The needs of culturally diverse populations are discussed. The use of career and labor market information and programs such as computer technology to access up-to-date career and labor market information is explored.
Techniques, theories, and methods of career counseling are examined and discussed.
